What is TUREL™?

TUREL™ is a newly developed, all natural cellulose fiber. This fiber is derived through a unique spinning process that creates a yarn with qualities similar to polyester based fibers while at the same time remaining virtually the only natural and economically sound alternative to TENCEL®.

Where is TUREL™ manufactured?

TUREL™ is currently manufactured in countries of Eastern Europe, such as Russia and Ukraine.

What are some of the unique characteristics of TUREL™?

TUREL™, by virtue of its unique free-floating molecular structure, is an extremely versatile fiber that lends itself to many diverse applications. 100% TUREL™ is a natural fiber that has elastic qualities and it drapes and flows luxuriously, making it suitable for pants and jackets. Its high moisture absorption and aerobility makes it ideal for casual wear and sportswear. Its high strength profile makes it an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications.

What is the major component of TUREL™?

TUREL™ is a 100% natural wood-based cellulose fiber that is manufactured through an innovative spinning process. The process of making the fiber is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fiber manufacturing. TUREL™ is manufactured without the use of caustic yarn fixatives, allowing the wearer to luxuriate in the pure and natural softness.

Can TUREL™ be combined with other fibers?

Absolutely. When TUREL™ is combined with other fabrics it adds a whole new dimension to those fibers. TUREL™ works well to give other fibers wrinkle-resistant qualities, as well as a luxurious drape and silk-like luster.

What kind of customer would be interested in TUREL™?

TUREL™ will appeal to an ecologically conscious consumer seeking a natural and luxurious fiber that offers liquid drape and tremendous versatility of finishes. This customer is looking for an alternative to TENCEL® or LYCRA®, but is not willing to accept an artificial substitute.

Does TUREL™ offer any incremental value to the manufacturer?

We recognize that in the present competitive environment, our clients need all the marketing support they can get. Whenever you utilize TUREL™ as a principal component in your garment (25% or more), we will provide TUREL™ hangtags free of charge. Furthermore, if you want to utilize TUREL™ in your marketing materials, we are willing to shoulder part of that cost, subject to our internal guidelines. We also maintain an extensive and constantly updated database of processes and finishes that will maximize TUREL™'s appeal. Contact your sales representative for additional information.
